Easter

Best wishes dear Hedgies for a wonderful Easter weekend. Mine will be spent just like every one since 1989.......renovating. It's our 17th wedding anniversary on Easter Sunday, but as MOTH is going through an incredibly grumpy patch at the moment, I think that I won't make a fuss & just let this one slide under the radar. I've had a wonderful week at work, the boss returned from his travels in the UK & much to my relief, it seems I didn't stuff up too much & that the business is still viable, phew! Puppy Lulu is overdue for some serious mother & puppy bonding time & I want to give my dodgy knee a trial with a longish walk. I may live to regret my decision, but I'll never know until I try. See you next week.

  1. Have a lovely peaceful time, Millie! Maybe your own private anniversary celebration with a few easter eggs as a necessary first step toward renovating the easter egg cupboard?

  2. I'm so pleased that the working week has been smoother Millie and hopefully MOTH is just fudging to hide a lovely anniversary surprise - they do that sometimes.

Take in hunking great lungfuls of that pure mountain air Lovely and enjoy the break ~ happiest of Easter greetings to you, MOTH and Lulu.

  3. Happy Easter dear Mills!
And don't worry about MOTH. A few Coopers and a chocy egg will brighten him up.
As for the renos... I've figured out a great trick. Nagging doesn't work, but if you start doing the work yourself (and hammer loud enough), they'll eventually come along, notice what you're doing and pull you up on it.. They'll usually say something like "THAT'S NOT RIGHT! Here, I'd better do it!" And then you can toddle off, pour yourself another wine and watch 'Escape to the Country' while they hammer away at a job they didn't want to do.
    Sneaky.

  4. Dear Mill's,
Sending happy and peaceful Easter greetings from the UK, to you, MOTH and all of your family.
I think that Easter is often the time for a lick of paint and a bit of DIY .... hopefully MOTH will cheer up a bit.....just leave a few Victoria's Secret catalogues around the place......that should do the trick !!!!
Have fun Mill's and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that the knee holds out. XXXX

  11. Oh so happy to hear the job is working out. Happy Easter and Anniversary to you and your family. I would love to help you paint, this too is what I have been doing in my kitchen. Just when I think that 1 coat primer and 2 coats of paint are good, I see stains showing through. Somedays I feel like I will never get finished, I think you know the feeling. I finished the beekeepers school, was wondering if SA could use a good Honey Company? I already have the logo all worked out. Enjoy your weekend. Love, Heidi
