A blazing fire (thanks MOTH darling!) & a pair of warm socks to keep the toes toasty. Couldn't want for more really on a freezing cold, grey Hills day. Tomorrow is Blog catch-up time, looking forward to seeing what you've all been up to this week.

I'm so jealous I could scream! A pair of pigeons have moved into our chimney and I can't find a chimney sweep anywhere!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFortunately we do have a little firebox in the kitchen which works for now but as it gets colder I wonder!
Think I will invest in those woolly sox.
Oh that first image is so lovely Millie. I know a lot of us blog ladies paint everything in sight white but there's something about that gold mirror that gives me a thrill!
ReplyDeleteStay warm.

It's starting to heat-up here, just in time for planting and plucking in the gardens. I do appreciate a lovely fire and toasty socks though. Enjoy a warm and cozy day of catch-up Millie.
ReplyDeleteHi Millie,
ReplyDeleteI love the thought of you sitting by the fire, it is always so cosy.
We are the same here, have had to have the heater going the past few nights.
Woolly socks are a great idea too.
Love the pictures you have shared.
Enjoy your weekend
Hugs
Carolyn
I love that image with the socks. It's perfect. Enjoy the fire...I haven't used mine yet but shouldn't be long!
ReplyDeleteThat looks so tranquil and peaceful. I can almost hear that fire crackling!
ReplyDeleteI love a good fire....lovely pictures!

Well, you know about me and woolly socks.
ReplyDeleteThat first image is gorgeous. I would love a room like that and I would love to take a photo that good! xx
ReplyDeleteDo those pretty grey socks belong to Moth? - I knew there was a family tradition around his socks but I didn't know he was into pearls !!! I bet he looks really sweet!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures Millie, such soothing colours.

We've just had our last fire for the season and although I'm not 'hanging up my socks' quite yet - It's SOOOOO nice to see summer here. Enjoy the leaves in your garden. If you like I can bring the kids over to rake them up and jump into the piles for you.
ReplyDeleteNow - just have to check out those houses for sale more closely. You don't think they'd like to swap for an old stone house to renovate in Provence do you?
It's pretty easy to be content and happy, isn't it Millie. Oh that fire sounds good. A-M xx
ReplyDeleteDear Mill's.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful, stylish images. I can just see you and MOTH curled up in front of a blazing fire. The warm weather is lovely but, there is nothing better than a real fire.
Have a cuddly weekend, Mill's. XXXX
Looks like a hot toddy might be in order Millie. Hope you have fun catching up with bloggy pals tomorrow. It's such a treat, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI've just returned from hospital with Bugsy, put him into bed and treated myself to some bloggy time. I'm so out of the loop at present, but I'm hoping that we've turned a corner health-wise and I'll be back in the blog-lane from now on. Thanks for your lovely comments, as always, they touch my heart and encourage me greatly. Big hugs to you and my 2nd favourite ex-rower. Meredy xo.
