The Company Of Strangers!

The beginning of Week 3 in my new job sees me flying off to Melbourne for the week. It's the Company's mid-year Sales Meeting & that means only one thing - more rooms of complete strangers to walk into! I long for the return of my comfort zone - it's beeen AWOL & I want it back! May this week bring fun & happiness to you all & see you on the weekend.

  5. My sister used to tell her daughter not to talk to strangers to which her daughter replied, 'everyone is a stranger until you take the time to talk to them'. You will get to know them, one stranger at a time.

  6. I can so understand how you're feeling at the moment Millie, but I'm sure, give it a little more time, and it will all feel familiar and less challenging. I would find it so hard to walk into that room of strangers, but somehow I see you as being totally in control. And I'm so proud of you for 'coming out'. Those guys don't know the power of blogging, or the friendships it inspires, and as we all know, they're the ones missing out. Hope your week goes well. Hope MOTH copes with the new baby. Bet she's sleeping on your bed! xx

  8. Oh Mill's,
I can remember that feeling of starting a new job ..... new people to try and get on with ..... everything feeling strange and unfamiliar.
.....but, I'm sure, before too long, you will be feeling much more secure and comfortable about it all and it will feel as if you've been there for years.
.....and, many, many congratulations on 700 posts !! That is AMAZING, especially with a full time job. Take no notice of those old fogies !! I think that people are a little envious. I get friend's ribbing me about my blog and poking fun at it and then they say that they wouldn't know how to do it !! The best part has been meeting such lovely people who make me laugh and think about things. I used to love having a pen friend when I was at school and this is the modern version of a pen friend.
Here's to your next 700 posts and long may you reign. XXXX

  9. Hang in there Mills. You'll be right. I don't know who the twit was who said 'a change is as good as a holiday,' but a change is still good for the soul.
