It's a long-standing family joke that Millie won't go on holidays to any destination where she can't plug in her hair drier. So you can imagine my delight to discover that I can still enjoy the great outdoors but with all the deluxe comforts.

Welcome to the world of Glamping (Glamour+Camping)! 1,000 thread count sheets, soft pillows, room (oops tent!) service, luxury bathrooms & much more. For those of us non-purists who only want to sleep under five stars!

  1. Now this is my idea of camping! Romantic, comfortable, and without lonely torch-light walks to a hole in the ground! I am thinking that a few days at one of these gorgeous places would be very relaxing.
I love the term 'glamping' too! Might have to throw that into a conversation sometime soon.

  3. Glamping!!! I love it.
I always thought roughing it was a Hotel with no pool...because I was allergic to canvas.
I just got over my allergy...

  4. Wow! My son has been egging me to go camping but I'm not really the outdoorsy type so I haven't tried it yet. But with those tents I think I can anytime, I mean go glamping. :)

  8. Millie - LOVE IT! except those "tents" are nicer than my actual home!! - Glamping is right up my 'alleyway' (as Emma would say) - My sister is curretnly on safari in Tanzania - something tells me it isn't as 'swish' as this - I remember hearing something about her pillow being her sleeping bag cover full of dirty clothes!?!? x

  10. Glamping-ha ha! With those pictures, who wouldn't want to go? Now if someone can find a way to make sure bugs are never a part of a camping trip, we'd be good to go!
