It's a long-standing family joke that Millie won't go on holidays to any destination where she can't plug in her hair drier. So you can imagine my delight to discover that I can still enjoy the great outdoors but with all the deluxe comforts.
Welcome to the world of Glamping (Glamour+Camping)! 1,000 thread count sheets, soft pillows, room (oops tent!) service, luxury bathrooms & much more. For those of us non-purists who only want to sleep under five stars!
Now this is my idea of camping! Romantic, comfortable, and without lonely torch-light walks to a hole in the ground! I am thinking that a few days at one of these gorgeous places would be very relaxing.
ReplyDeleteI love the term 'glamping' too! Might have to throw that into a conversation sometime soon.

Gee - when I went on Safari, it certainly didn't get this glam! How I wish it had!
ReplyDeleteGlamping!!! I love it.
ReplyDeleteI always thought roughing it was a Hotel with no pool...because I was allergic to canvas.
I just got over my allergy...
what a great T shirt slogan

Wow! My son has been egging me to go camping but I'm not really the outdoorsy type so I haven't tried it yet. But with those tents I think I can anytime, I mean go glamping. :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I'd go camping again if I could sleep on a real bed.
ReplyDeleteI have never been a fan of camping but I am ready now!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree camping NO - glamping YES!
ReplyDeleteAnna :)
Millie - LOVE IT! except those "tents" are nicer than my actual home!! - Glamping is right up my 'alleyway' (as Emma would say) - My sister is curretnly on safari in Tanzania - something tells me it isn't as 'swish' as this - I remember hearing something about her pillow being her sleeping bag cover full of dirty clothes!?!? x
ReplyDeleteMillie, Millie, Millie... where do you find such glorious images?!! I'd would definitely give up a hotel for any of these gorgeous set ups. So pleased you had a happy time with your family. A-M xx
ReplyDeleteGlamping-ha ha! With those pictures, who wouldn't want to go? Now if someone can find a way to make sure bugs are never a part of a camping trip, we'd be good to go!
ReplyDeleteGlamping...love it.
ReplyDeletePitched some tents in my younger days, but this would definetly be my style now.
Great post!!
Fifi is with you 100%! I do not go camping... but this glamping I could do... roughing it to moi... is no room sevice!
ReplyDeleteThose glamps are GORGEOUS!
Now that is "camping"... I would do that in a heart beat! Some of those "rooms" are just divine - I would love to experience that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these great pics.
I love these pictures! I am about to go camping these upcoming school holidays...it is certainly not going to be this glamorous but I do try to add a bit of comfort and style!! Lovely Post! Amanda x
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I just did a small post on camping today and then came across this post - puts mine to shame. This is definately my idea of camping - hope we can do it in half as much style as these pictures. Tracey x
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I am so happy you posted this. i have been looking for pictures of beautiful tents. Yay!
ReplyDeleteHow fantastic you all love glamping too! Thanks so much for your fun comments, looks as though there's a market out there for a Summer Tour for Glamping Gals!
