Diamonds & Stones

Some days are diamonds & yesterday was just one of those. I was so touched with the amazing response to yesterday's post. To know that I wasn't alone in my feelings of blog shyness, was a beautiful feeling. And the way you all articulated your thoughts left me humbled & emotional. Thank you from my overwhelmed bloggy heart, you are simply the best.

........and some days are stones. I learnt yesterday that Not Dr. McDreamy is fighting a battle for his own life. It is devastating news & the outlook is grim. He is a brilliant academic who's teaching skills are exceptional - the Fellows need him. He has published ground-breaking research papers internationally - his colleagues & the future of his specialist field needs him. He has healed so many with his surgical skills - his patients need him. He has a house full of active, energetic beautiful teenagers - his children need him. This is so, so unfair.

  3. Hi Miss Millie,

A huge response to yesterdays post. I hope you know how much you are loved and thought of......I'm sorry to hear about your Doctor. Terrible news. Life just doesn't seem fair sometimes, all that to live for and so many people needing him, I hope there is a chance, however small that he can make a recovery. My heart goes out to him and his family. Enjoy your weekend Miss Millie and will call in again Monday.
    Take care

  7. Oh that is terrible - life can be such a roller coaster of emotions. Wishing good things for good people is my mantra when things are glum.
As to blogging, it is my dirty secret not shared at all with family and very few friends, hence the low readership (so I like to think).

  10. Hi Millie; I'm very sad to read about your Dr. I'm not sure if it's due to our family having two losses in two months, but it seems there has been such an obscene # of people that are fighting for their lives due to illness. Very tragic.
I had to giggle about your post about your blog-shyness. I too have felt that way & it felt so good to have a partner in crime. I feel like it's perceived as such a trivial, self-indulging way to pass my time. My friends just don't get it. My family are coming around but not quite where yours are yet. Thank goodness we bloggers are not alone. It is very comforting isn't it? Hope your having a beautiful weekend? All my best to you xx
