Upstairs Downstairs

I'm having a love-hate relationship with stairs at the moment. Have been hopping around on a badly sprained ankle for the past 2 weeks & its driving me bananas! I slipped rushing down the stairs at my sister-in-law's house while we were in Melbourne for MOTH's big birthday celebrations & have paid the price for my inattention ever since. A huge effort was needed to get into stilettos again for the mid-year Sales Meeting in Sydney last week. I figured walking into the Board Room in my Minnie Mouse slippers would not have been a good look!
These stairs are lovely, but I'd need to ensure they were Millie-proof prior to launching myself down them!

  2. I love a set of stairs - but only if I land standing! Poor you with the ankle but I am glad to know that a bad ankle could not separate you from your heels - a girl after my own heart.

  3. Those pics are fabulous. My favourite would have to be 3rd from the bottom. I remember growing up my parents turning our downstairs bedroom into a stair room when they added on a second story. It was so grand and lovely with a wine cupboard underneath and black and white flooring.

I'm sorry about your ankle, I cringed as I read it. I've been there, I feel your pain. Heal well and fast my friend.

  4. Hi Mille!

Hope you enjoyed your stay in Melbourne & a week in Sydney. Am just envious.

Well, love those stairs, well, if my house is as big as chalét. Anyway, I love stairs although my knees aren't ready to fit for fight.

  5. We live in a ranch-style home, and my son BEGS us to move into a 2-story so that he can have his room upstairs.

    Love the pictures, as always!

  6. I love these stairs and I love how my rear end looks as a result of having stairs in my home. Love your blog, Heidi
