No matter how cute puppy Tazzie is, I must apologize for putting such an ugly piece of hydraulic equipment in the form of the bobcat on your beautiful blog rolls yesterday. If there was a professional Registry of Bloggers I'm sure the Board would have struck me off by noon. So I hope this piece of prettiness gets me reinstated & back in your good books.
Silly woman. The interesting images you post only spark curiousity on our side of the blog. My favorites are the ones of MOTH's back side. Love ya, Heidi
So Hedge-tastic! Thanks Millie for setting everything right in our pedantic, stylistically perfect blog-rolls again. Phew...that was a close one. Meredy xo.
Just love that image - very girly but oh so sophisticated. Would fit right at home in my house with all my white furniture. Love the contrast with the pink.
Oh blast....Lee beat me to it....I just LOVED the picture of the poor, dirty, left in the mud, Eeyore !! I found it rather poignant..... in fact, I became quite teary !! ..... so , it's good that we are back to pink, pretty and perfect. I guess that girlie is nicer than bobcat's. We can all do with a bit of frivolity. XXXX
Your Bobcat picture looks nothing like the skid loader pictures I could take on the farm. Our Gehl loader is usually cover in manure, hauling a dead animal, or involved in another farming operation. Your picture looks mighty nice compared to some I could take. And as Jennifer said "Life ain't always pretty, Millie".
Oh Millie, Don't stress about that. Just showing life as it is!!! And being a devoted Hedgie, you won't keep me away. Hope you have something lovely planned for the weekend. Enjoy. Take care Janine XXOO N.W. Coast Tassie
Life in the little village of Stirling in the hills above Adelaide in South Australia is just about as good as it gets! Enjoying a cool climate and 'hill-station' feel, Stirling is well-known for its 19th-century stone villas set on large grounds dense with roses, camellias, rhododendrons and huge old Oaks.
With 3 sons, 3 grandchildren & my work in a scientific business dominated by yes, more men, The Laurel Hedge was born out of my sheer desperation for something the boys just don't get & never will!
Quote This!
'No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it all too seriously.'
15 years of renovating was over - we'd just completed everything & were really enjoying our lovely old Victorian villa in the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide. However we'd always had a fondness for the country life & without warning we found ourselves transported by alien beings disguised as Real Estate Agents to a house on 1/2 acre of wild, rambling gardens in Stirling!
The house is circa 1972 & with all the 70's features. Open-faced brown brick walls, raked ceilings, exposed beams, split levels - totally yuk! However, it's inherent design is great & the location amazing - tucked behind a wonderful old laurel hedge in a quiet country lane in the heart of gorgeous Stirling.
That is very pretty, however the cuteness of the dog made up for the ungliness of the bobcat.

looks very pretty Millie. The dog would look great laying on the floor of this room. Great french parquetry floors.

ReplyDeleteDear Millie, the sight of the helper's helper (i.e. Eeyore)yesterday definitely put a smile on my dial. You're always in my good books! Lee :)

ReplyDeleteHi Millie,
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous! I want this for my own little space!!!
My world is filled with men who are crazy about backhoes, and bobcats, so no worries.

But the bobcat had white chippy paint on it, a redeeming feature. Only a warning, not a red card.
