With 3 sons, 3 grandchildren & my work in a scientific business dominated by yes, more men, The Laurel Hedge was born out of my sheer desperation for something the boys just don't get & never will!
Millie, it's been so fun reading your blog. Thanks for dropping by every so often on mine. Best wishes to you, MOTH and your family this Christmas.

Millie - who else could understand me better? With five boys "under your belt" so to speak and the MOTH - I've had so much fun over the last year getting to know you. Wishing you all the best.
ReplyDeleteAnd if there can't be peace on earth Millie, I pray, at the very least, for peace in your home with all those precious sons. I have also, just drooled all over my keyboard reading your panettone post....how did I miss that the other day? Honestly, I start looking after my children for five minutes and see what happens? I'll be knocking Nonna's out of the way at the local deli grabbing one of these next Christmas. Hope you, MOTH and your lovely ones have the happiest of days celebrating your family. Love Meredy xo.
ReplyDeleteMillie, just wanted to wish you, MOTH (the grinch) and your 5 gorgeous sons a very merry Christmas and a wonderful new year at the Hedge. Keep safe & well. Looking forward to lots of lovely Hedge posts in 2010. Lee x

Hi Millie & MOTH
ReplyDeleteJust wanting to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I'm sure you will enjoy it all with your family. I did chuckle to myself today, I was busy wrapping Christmas presents when husband came in and declared who he had to buy for this year - a mere 3 people!!! (WOW) Time factor involved etc., etc., how was he going to get it all done??? I couldn't help but think of you and MOTH, Millie. Honestly, the kids have stuck a santa hat on him and he is asleep in the chair at the moment, meanwhile I have to feed the troops, finish wrapping Christmas presents, make a double chocolate mousse, marbled merangues and a double merangue and then wash up and get the kitchen back to its gleaming best. (Actually I'm very lucky - he and the kids go shopping every year for birthday and christmas for me, so I'd better not be too hard on him). Before I go, I just wanted to say I have been following The Laurel Hedge for a few months now, but I really enjoy calling in every day over my breakfast and cuppa and always love reading what you have to say. All the best. Look forward to all great things from The Hedge in 2010.
Take care
