Hey Bro?

Image RE

As much as I love the national greeting of Kiwiland (aka New Zealand), I think in the case of meeting this amazing villa in person, I'd definitely have to replace Hey Bro with the more refined Ciao Bello!

I'm not sure what the Italian equivalent of a Francophile is, but these folk sure fall into that category. This wonderful property sits on a hill near Waimauku in the Rodney district, just a 35 min. drive from Auckland City. The region was for many years a traditional farming area, however in recent times, the wine industry has taken over & boutique wineries & restaurants abound. For me it's as if a beautiful little piece of Tuscany has been simply lifted up & transplanted into an equally wonderful part of the World.

  1. Oh Millie, that place is just gorgeous.... every single shot is pretty, what a wonderful place to live....jealous!

  2. Hey bro, BYE bro! hehe When can we move in? Ciao bella is right!
Gorgeous! So many of my very favorite things! Purrrr.

  3. This home is AMAZING. Total perfection. I hope the people who get to live here know how lucky they are!

  4. WOW that is extraordinary! I can't believe it is in NZ, totally looks like Italia. Personally I think they have taken it a little too far, it can be a bit cliche to totally lift a style straight from one culture and plonk it into another (like those dreadful santa fe style houses that popped up in the 90's, great in context, but not in the middle of a suburban NZ st); that said they have done a very good job of it.

    Kiaora bro ;)

  5. Gorgeous is right! I wonder why my in-laws don't have a house like that, in NZ? Probably because they would never get rid of me

  6. Oooh I want to be in front of that fire with one of the books from that bookcase!

    Absolutely gorgeous residence!

  7. It does look like places I've seen in Tuscany~ perfection isn't it Millie? Meet me there- we'll chat and drink wine, and soak in the lovely sunlight!

  8. Thank you for allowing me to visit. The home, garden, photography, writing........ah.

Garden & Be Well, XO Tara

  9. OH DEAR GOD!!! I am in love, totally. What stunning find. How did you stumble on to this?

  10. It's perfect. Just beautiful! I couldn't live there because I'd never want to leave. Ever.

  11. This place is HEAVENLY!! Personally I think the Adelaide Hills is the best place in the world though!!

  12. Thanks for that this morning! I really like the house, all the ivy always makes me feel at home!

  13. What a picturesque place. I would love to visit.
Good luck with your busy renovating weekend Millie. At least your moving forward. I wish my husband would get motivated to do a little more around here. Anyway, have a lovely weekend. Hayley
