Achoo, Achoo!

Please Mother Nature, give a girl a break here! It's cold, the fire is blazing & according to the calendar it's still officially Winter until tomorrow. So what's the deal with these miserable hay fever symptoms I'm experiencing. The sneezing, watery eyes & a pounding sinus headache - this is way too early in the season for this to be happening. If this a sign of what's in store for me this Spring then I'm out of here & taking that Territory Manager's position I saw advertised for Antartica!

  1. Millie I hear you loud & clear. We all suffer from allergies & it does not seem to matter what time of year it is. Hopefully this is not a sign of the Spring to come for you.

    Be well my dear xx

  5. Wow, when I first read that tomorrow was the last official day of Winter I did a double take! I forgot for a moment that you are in Australia! I am in the US, we are just winding down our summer, though after today I wonder if it is winding down. It was nearly 100 here, with 98% humidity, yuck! I am sorry you're not feeling well, I understand completely how you feel. I have allergy issues in the spring and fall. No fun at all! Hang in there!

  7. Hope you feel better soon Millie. I completely empathise with you though as I believe I live in the allergy/asthma capital of Australia. Hope you are dosing up on the antihistamines, pain killers and nasal spray!

Even though I too suffer, I HATE the cold so yay for Spring! I can't wait.

  8. I hope it warms up for when I get home in a few weeks time. I am trying to plan it so I leave Sweden as it gets cold and arrive in The Adeladie Hills as it is warming up. I think it should work. At least Stirling is a beautiful place to enjoy the winter and cosy up in the mist.

    Ok DC restaurants.
Kafe Leopold is a must in Georgetown. Very charming, Austrian food.
Cafe Milano in georgetown ... Hip place, Italian food
There is a great Belgium restaurant called "Et Voila" in Palisades neighborhood, reservation recommended, since it's a small place.
Bourbon steak at the Four seasons hotel is great in Georgetown, has a fantastic bar.

Hope I was helpful. Let me know if you need any other info.
