A Happy MOTH

I knew the evening was going to be interesting when a pair of MOTH's favourite jocks sailed over my shoulder in the Laundry with the accompanying 'request', 'Hey Millie iron my underpants will ya, just in case I get lucky tonight.' Yes, as eagerly anticipated, no sooner had we arrived back from our Melbourne trip than we were heading up the Freeway to see Masterchef Justine's cooking demo. For a small rural community they had a great turn-out & the venue was packed. Despite intense jostling with a bunch of Ladies Who Lunch, he missed out on a front row seat & had to be content with craning his neck from Row 3. And crane his neck he did - his eyes didn't move from her once the entire night.

As expected, the gorgeous Jussie lived up to all his expectations, she was a delight, so naturally vivacious & very skilled. It was fab to see so many young kids in the audience & they just adored her, constantly wanting to ask her questions, give her a hug & hang out with her. I was aware that the last series of MC had attracted a really young audience, but last night's display of adoration really cemented that fact. She cooked a main dish of John Dory with Seared Scallops, Cauliflower Puree & a Champagne Sauce & followed it with a dessert of Chocolate Fondant with Cherries Marinated in Pedro Ximenez served with a Vanilla Bean Ice-Cream & Pashmak (Persian Fairy Floss).

So even though his lucky underpants weren't quite so lucky on the night, MOTH went away a very happy boy, content in the knowledge that his girl was exactly as he'd dreamt she would be.

We had a really busy but wonderful time in Melbourne, & have arrived home exhausted but very happy. Now back to the real world!

  1. Silly MOTH, I am assuming (I try not to assume mind you) but that you and MOTH have an open marriage? Lucky underpants and all. So happy to see that you had a safe trip and a great time. Love ya, Heidi

  9. Sorry to break it to MOTH but I think that there was quite a lot of wishful thinking going on in MOTH's head !! haha ...... but, don't break it to him. Let him have his dreams.
Was there a lot of drooling going on, Mill's ?
At least if there was, he could blame it on the food !!
Is he still walking round in a daze or has he come down to earth now ?
I bet he was in Seventh Heaven. XXXX
